Students from the Decho Hun Sen Institute of Technology in Chamkadong Kep visited the Confirel Discovery Kep farm on April 24, 2025, after a thirty-minute lecture given by Dr. Hay Ly Eang, CEO of Confirel, at the Institute's premises. This meeting aimed to illustrate the link between technology and entrepreneurship for agricultural transformation in rural areas, with a view to circular economic development.

In front of 28 students, Dr. Hay Ly Eang, CEO of Confirel, emphasized the need for young people to integrate new technologies to modernize the ancestral production methods of their villages. "A region without technicians cannot develop," he stated. During the field visit, Dr. Hay Ly Eang spent over an hour detailing the development project being carried out on the plantation, which focuses on history, conservation, sustainable development, and the circular economy. He presented the division of the farm into several zones around the area dedicated to agricultural production: a historical and memorial zone, an area dedicated to knowledge exchange and recreation, and a natural zone including housing and a bird island. He particularly mentioned the American B52 bombings during the 1970 war and the massacre of three foreign hostages by the Khmer Rouge in 1994 in the Phnom Voar region, at the foot of which the farm is located. "The development of this region after the war has been a long process. Since 2012, it has been transformed into a natural seaside resort rich in biodiversity, including endangered species such as certain fish and turtles. It is innovation, conservation, and sustainable development that have made all this possible, which consolidates the restored peace," he emphasized. Professor Dr. Po Kimtho, Director of the Institute, praised the private sector's knowledge sharing, which provides students with essential information to guide their studies.
